View over the top of my book #24
As I’m currently sitting in a field in West Wales, teaching festival-goers to knit, most probably in the miserable pouring rain, I thought I’d look back to sunnier times, namely my recent trip to Italy and Switzerland for my brother’s wedding.
After the festivities at Lake Como, my parents, my daughter and I, headed to Gstaad in Switzerland for a few days. My brother has a chalet there for the skiing in winter, but we enjoyed a few days of blistering sunshine punctuated by the occasional dramatic storm, walking and reading. Unfortunately, the cable cars weren’t operating as we were there out of season, but we had a restorative few days slobbing about with a good book and lots of Swiss chocolate on hand. It was just what we needed after the posh frocks and rich food of the wedding.
*I’l be screen-free while I’m away but look forward to catching up on blogs and replying to comments on my return to civilisation. Until then, be good!
