The Mother of all Book hauls
After spending weeks at home squirreling away writing knitting patterns I took a day off for a mooch around Haverfordwest. Having fulfilled the only essential task of the day – choosing a gift for my Gran, I headed to the Oxfam bookshop for a browse.
Twenty minutes later I found myself in a cafe up the road with two bags full of books feeling like a compulsive gambler at the races. With my bookshelves already heaving at home, I thought it was probably time I put the brakes on my book buying. I did briefly consider putting a curfew on all book-buying for 2016, before dismissing that as both a crazed over-reaction and frankly, unachievable. So, I’ve decided to adopt a ‘one in, one out’ policy for the foreseeable future. It won’t stop me buying new books, but it’ll hopefully make me focus more on reading what I already have and passing some of those books on, before accumulating more. I know. Who am I trying to kid?
Anyway, here are my winnings!
