Infinite Joy – ‘Infinite Jest’ Has Been Lego’ed!
I know I keep harping on about how great David Foster Wallace’s ‘Infinite Jest‘ is (you can see what I’ve written about it so far here, here and here), but if you’re still not convinced of the benefits of embarking upon 1089 pages of manic prose that is both dense and intense, help is at hand.
Kevin Griffith, an English professor, along with his 11 year old son, Sebastian, decided to recreate all the major scenes from ‘Infinite Jest’ out of Lego. I’m so glad they did, it’s utterly brilliant. As someone who feels compelled to devote endless hours to yarn-based football reportage (to the bafflement of most people), this is the kind of project that really excites me.
You can see the Lego ‘Infinite Jest’ in all its fabulous entirety at Brickjest.com, but these are some of my favourites.
